Dr. Rukhsana Nawaz, UAE

Rukhsana Nawaz has completed her Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine (Neurogenetics) from the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, Karachi-Pakistan, in 2013. Her Ph.D. thesis focuses on the Genetic profile of schizophrenic patients in Pakistan. She was affiliated with the Department of Molecular Pathology at Dow University of Health Sciences as an Assistant Professor. In 2015, Rukhsana moved to UAE to pursue her Postdoc in the Behavioral Neuroscience lab. Currently, she is working as a Research Specialist in Behavioral Neuroscience Laboratory at the United Arab Emirates University, Al Ain-UAE. Her main focus is to bridge knowledge from basic and clinical neuroscience to improve how we understand, predict, and treat age- and disease-related cognitive impairment.

Dr. Shaista Emad, Pakistan

Dr. Shaista Emad obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Karachi. Her research focuses on the Neurochemical & Behavioral Effects of Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). She is Associate Professor at the Sohail University, Karachi. Dr. Emad is also an active member of the American Society of Neurochemistry, Pakistan Society of Biochemists & Pakistan society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She is associated with Journals like International Journal of Complementary and Traditional Medicine, Pharmacological Reports and The Pakistan Journal of Medicine and Dentistry (PJMD) as an active Journal referee.

Dr. Meha Fatima, Pakistan 

Meha Fatima has obtained her Ph.D. from International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, Pakistan followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Mind Sciences from Preston University, Pakistan. Her Ph.D. research focused on the development of a drug for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease patients with diabetes. Dr. Meha is currently serving as Assistant Professor at Dow Institute of Medical Technology, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Pakistan. She has been working on Cell Culture, Biomedical Engineering, and Neurosciences, etc. For her recent research on the Effectiveness of theta frequency sound in chronic stress, she has received SRGP Research Grant from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) & Transformation International Society, Research Support Fund.

Dr. Saad Khan, Pakistan 

Saad Khan is a dental surgeon from Baqai Dental College, Karachi, Pakistan and obtained a Master’s degree from the University of London, England. He has achieved a Ph.D. from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, his research work focuses on the use of optical data and Artificial Neural Networking (ANN) for improving disease detection accuracy in bio-diagnostics and oral microbiome research through molecular techniques. Within an extensive set of interpersonal skills, Dr. Khan has trained, mentored, and worked across different disciplines. He is currently the Dean Faculty of Sciences & Associate professor of Epidemiology and Public Health at the Dadabhoy Institute of Higher education (DIHE), Karachi, Pakistan. His current area of research includes health and behaviors, educational leadership, digital health, disease diagnostics, and medical education.

Dr. Sulail Fatima, Pakistan 

Sulail Fatima has completed her Ph.D. in Physiology from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. Her research involved the Effect of post-infarct Morphine treatment on cardiac remodeling & its crucial mediators in rats. She is a gold medalist for standing first in M.Sc. Physiology, University of Karachi, Pakistan in 2011. Sulail worked as a teaching assistant at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran and is currently affiliated with Jinnah Medical & Dental College as Assistant Professor. She has been working for Nature Publication Quality Improvement Project (NPQIP) and reviewed more than 100 publications for the project (CAMARADES - University of Edinburg). Her current area of interest is Animal Handling, Myocardial Infarction Models Chronic Kidney Disease Models, Neurotoxicity Models & Animal Behaviours, etc.
